We have collected and analyzed data on medical care utilization by Libertas clients. Preliminary data shows that 1) medical care utilization was above 80% among Libertas clients who identified medical needs as a primary or secondary presenting problem; 2) a significant number of new clients that utilized medical care did not report their medical needs at intake; 3) clients who reported physical torture had more visits to primary and specialty medical clinics than those who did not endure physical torture.
