The Libertas Medical Director presented at the Queens Borough President’s Immigration Task Force meeting on the mental health issues prevalent amongst torture survivors, and the use of a holistic trauma-focused approach in addressing them. Discussion included the stigmas which surround mental health issues in the immigrant communities that we serve, and about culturally and linguistically appropriate resources.
